Climbing in the Alps is not all about snow and ice, big boots and heavy rucksacks. There are lots of routes, at low and high altitude, bolted and unbolted, which are best done in rock shoes with perhaps just one sack between two. |

Some of these are true mountain climbs, in relatively remote locations, which demand a stay in a refuge or a bivvy the night before; others are much more easily accessible but still offer long, challenging routes of 10 pitches or more. There are also countless valley crags of just a few pitches, which are great for bad weather days, semi-rest days or for practicing your technical skills. Whatever grade you are climbing, time spent exploring alpine rock will broaden your experience and develop your strength and abilities. Whether you are interested in longer or shorter routes, in leading or seconding, I can help you to find the right climbs to suit your purposes. And it's not just something which is confined to the summer months - with local knowledge and a careful choice of location it's possible to climb here from April to October. |
