Off piste skiing is a great way to leave the crowds behind and discover the less populated areas of a resort. You can explore all sorts of different terrain and types of snow: ski powder, through trees, try some steeper ground, or even a couloir.
I can help you learn and develop the skills and techniques you need to ski off piste safely and with enjoyment.
These include:
- How to adjust your skiing style to the different types of snow you'll encounter
- Use of avalanche transceivers and other essential safety equipment
- Assessment of snow conditions
- Awareness of avalanche danger
- Route finding
Where: If you look beyond the groomed slopes, many ski resorts offer the opportunity to enjoy fantastic, adventurous runs in exciting conditions. The Chamonix Valley has some of the best in the world but I can join you elsewhere by arrangement.
